We are a 42 year old dealership that has been servicing the automotive needs of consumers in the Greater New Orleans area. So you want to buy a car! New or Pre-Owned? The following will provide you with the steps you will take.

Our Chrysler-Jeep sales department will be pleased to assist you. Kindly enter our Showroom(s) and one of our Sales Consultants will greet you. If it is a pre-owned car you are interested in, just go to our Used Car Building and you will be greeted there by one of of our Sales Consultants who specialize in pre-owned automobiles.

Currently we have sold most of our 2007 inventory, however the new 2008 models are arriving every day. If you prefer a 2007 model any of our Sales Consultants will be pleased to assist you. Kindly note that all 2008 and remaining new 2007 Chrysler-Jeeps carry an original owner "lifetime warranty" on the power train.
You will be given an opportunity to review your particular needs, be shown a variety of models, and be given an opportunity to "test drive" the automobile of your selection. We will also evaluate your own automobile as a probable trade-in. Please know at this moment you will never again be able to obtain as much for your automobile as you can today.
At this point in time you will be directed through the credit application process which is the governing instrument that sets the percentage of interest you will be expected to pay. Your Sales Consultant will explain our 'Privacy Notice' as to whatever information we collect. We are duty bound to protect your 'non-public information.' We will treat you with the same respect as would your bank.
Your Sales Consultant and our staff will work with you so as to establish the best possible price for the car of your selection. He or she will not be able to quote you a payment or an interest payment. This comes next, that is the singular responsibility of our Business Managers.
At this point in time you will be introduced to one of our Business Managers, often called Finance & Insurance Directors. He will explain the ready availability of additional services that you may want to select. He will also, with your credit application in hand, contact Chrysler Financial, or one or more banks that will service your application. Any question you may now have you can address to him. Our Business Manager will conclude all of the details, and with your signing each of the instruments presented to you, you will now be eligible to take delivery of your new or pre-owned car.
In the interim Bergeron Motors will have detailed your car, added gas to gas tank and prepared a temporary licence tag. (Your permanent license tag will be applied for in your name. You will receive a post card that we have the 'tag' in hand and you may return to the Receptionist who will give you your 'tag'). Your Sales Consultant will go over your car with you explaining in detail all of the functions. He or she will also introduce you to the respective Service Advisers with whom you will communicate with either in person or by telephone when your car needs service.
Please know that we welcome your return to Bergeron Motors. Any of us are professionally dedicated to you and your purchase that you may have many months and years of good and faithful service.

Now in review, it may seem that there are a lot of steps that one must go through in the purchase of an automobile. Please know that while at times it seems to be a lengthy period, we want it to be as enjoyable as possible.

We have the NEW Chrysler! In 2007 Chrysler Corporation became privately owned, and with it Chrysler offered a 'lifetime warranty.'

A 'Life Time Warranty,' previously unheard of in the automotive industry, yet on 24 July 2007 the Chrysler Group composed of vehicles originating with Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge announced a lifetime power train warranty covering most new models offered for sale. The purpose has been designed to give consumers peace of mind about the vehicles they have chosen to drive. Absolutely nothing like it has ever been offered in the industry!

The extended warranty available on gasoline-powered 2007 and 2008 models sold covers the cost of parts and labor to fix the engine, transmission and drive system. It is limited to the first registered owner or lessee of a vehicle and is NOT transferable. Should a new owner decide to sell their vehicle within the first three years then the 36,000 mile coverage will replace the lifetime power train warranty for the subsequent owner. And if that purchase were before the expiration of 36,000 miles then Bergeron Motors through LDS could offer that subsequent purchaser an extended warranty. In either case it is a win win for the owner of that Chrysler manufactured automobile be it an original owner or subsequent owner.
With quality improved with most automotive products produced for sale, it has been found that industry-wide new car buyers typically trade in their vehicles after 5.3 years of ownership according to J.D. Power. For the original owner in order to qualify for the warranty coverage, car buyers must have a power train inspection every five years which will be performed at no charge by Bergeron Motors, Inc. (Chrysler-Jeep), or by an authorized Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge dealer. Yes, Chryslers are "Engineered Beautifully" and one can "Have Fun Out There. Jeep"

Yes, we would like to continue our relationship with you by sending you over time a series of visual/audio Emails. We will provide you with information you may receive first through this vehicle of communication. Perhaps special sales that are going on, the release of a new automobile with new and outstanding features. And then from our Service Department special sales or information on a wide variety of products that you may apply to your own car. You have bought a new car, you've taken it home, you have achieved a measure of satisfaction, and now Chrysler or Jeep has sent you a survey form

Yes, you have received a survey to fill as to your 'buying experience' at Bergeron Motors. So what should you do. Let us explain.

This is our report card! Upon receipt the content will be entered into the record and Chrysler, our dealership and the Sales Consultant who sold you your new car will benefit. Ultimately the survey is received by the dealership where we share the information that you have given. I can assure you that a favorable survey greatly assists us. It does materially affect the compensation received by each of us who are here to serve you. If we have earned your confidence and your trust, will you please mark the blocks in the line indicated as Very Satisfactory. In category #21 you can provide a written comment as to your buying experience. Please note that with this information we will be in telephone contact with you through the years providing you with information we believe you should have. In another paragraph below we will tell you of our visual/audio Emails that we hope that you will access.
We would like to share with you a sampling of some of the comments that we have received from other customers as to their recent purchase experience: Here is one from Sales Consultant Alecia Washington): "I totally enjoyed my experience at Bergeron Chrysler. Drive on Nitrogen rather than on compressed air. Save up to 3.3% at the pump!

The most significant benefit of filling automobile tires with nitrogen is enhanced safety!

Why nitrogen? The air we breathe, the air around us is 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen and 1% other gasses. At Bergeron Motors we remove the compressed air and replace it with 100% nitrogen. You ask why? Because oxygen molecules pass through the rubber, nitrogen molecules do not. At no time have you ever driven with fully inflated tires. But when your tires have been filled with nitrogen, you will feel the difference, no resistance! In addition to improving your drive and fuel efficiency, by maintaining consistant inflation you will reduce overheating of the tires and optimize your tire's performance. The tires just last longer. .......And with a dry inert gas dry nitrogen helps the tire to run cooler. Just ask the NASCAR driver, or the commercial airline pilot, they will tell you for safety all commercial aircraft and NASCAR race cars ride on nitrogen inflated tires. Truly the 21st Century of improved automotive performance has come to Bergeron Motors. Perhaps when you schedule an oil change ask one of our Service Advisors to schedule adding nitrogen to the tires in your car instead of compressed air. You ask, "What if I have a flat?" You can add compressed air when the flat is repaired, just return to Bergeron and at no additional charge we will replace that compressed air with nitrogen.

A final note, have you ever wondered why your bicycle tires go flat? It is simply because the oxygen molecules permeate the tire walls thus reducing the tire's inflation pressure. And during the its journey through the tire wall, oxygen oxidizes the rubber compounds in the tire causing under-inflation and deteriorated rubber. ......And best of all the savings, at the pump you will save 3.3%!

Do you want to know more about Nitrogen for your tires?

You may be only driving an automobile, yet there are other vehicles on the road that require inflation. Lets take 'OTR' Over the Road trucks. Those truck are those heavy trucks frequently called 18 wheelers. We suspect that you probably have never driven with re-treads, yet OTR trucks and airliners use retreads as tires of choice ..... the purpose being to save money! Thus inflation is important and those truckers who have switched find that they obtain 30% longer tire life, and as to fuel efficiency, 10% of a mile per gallon driven. Trucking companies have reported that for every blowout avoided there is a saving of over $500.

So what have we accomplished by switching to nitrogen replacing compressed air?:

1. Reduced tire failure.
2. Longer tire life.
3. Fuel efficiency, "more miles to the buck spent!".

Added insurance protection when you use BG Products

Yes, you can have added insurance protection beyond the warranty that comes with the purchase of a new Chrysler, Jeep or Volvo automobile just by following our shop-recommended service intervals. At no cost to you, only your commitment to begin and continue your initial service within 36,000 miles to receive 100% coverage, or within 50,000 miles to receive 50% coverage. Yes, you may be protected for up to 150,000 miles or 7 model years.

Transmission ........ up to $2,000, Drive Line ....... up to $2,000, Power Steering ...... up to $1,500, Cooling System...... up to $1,000, Brake System...... up to $500, and Engine .....up to $3,000. Service intervals must be maintained continuing the use of the BG Products. Are you aware that the average life of an automobile in the hands of the original purchaser is 5.3 years? This was not always the case. In the generation before us the purchaser of a new automobile traditionally traded-in his or her car every three years. Cars or automobiles were not expected to last any longer than that. Then in the late seventies Detroit took a page out of Japan and Germany who were then building a better car, a car that could return 250,000 miles or more to the purchaser. By 1979 Detroit, through Chrysler, General Motors and Ford made some radical changes to their offerings ......And today the purchaser can relay on performance, longevity, and many added features, with just the sheer joy of driving his or her car!

So lets get back to the question, is this a good time to trade-in your automobile? You bet it is! Your automobile will never again be as valuable as it is today! Yes, we sell new automobiles, but then we are also in the used or pre-owned automobile business, and we specialize in offering good reliable pre-owned automobiles. Some of the trade-ins we keep , (those that we believe to be exceptional), while others we will wholesale. Whatever the condition of your automobile there will never be a better time than today!

Lets take a look at the New Chrysler's Town & Country Limited minivan

In 1983 Chrysler, through the then Plymouth division, devised a new mode of travel, the mini-van. This was a vast improvement in comfort, portability and family living with a significant improvement over the popular station wagon. The station wagon had been devised as an automobile of choice to deposit and retrieve the professional at the train station and used for the transportation of family needs. Yet Plymouth had a better idea with the mini-van and with it has sold well over 10,000,00 mini-vans since! Along the way others have attempted to bring out their version of the mini van. Some have succeeded others have not. In the mix both Ford and General Motors have thrown in the towel and no longer offer a minivan in their stable of automobiles. But with the 2008 model year Chrysler has left everyone at the gate with a refined interior and a limousine-like ride. The Wall St. Journal in its Friday, September 7, 2007 edition noted that the Chrysler Town & Country Limited is the nicest, most comfortable and best riding vehicle Chrysler sells, hands down!
There is something to be said about Chrysler, "Engineered Beautifully" with its 'Stow n'Go' where the middle seats, (as well as the rear seat), fold into the floor providing an owner an immediate available space to haul most anything of bulk, yet when not in use in that capacity can provide the owner with significant additional space for storage 'under the seats.'
Comfort and sophistication ...Chrysler sets the tone with it's 'Sto n'Go' and now the sedan that provides one to swivel the middle seats with its 'Swivel n'Go' facing the rear along with a table in between for a rubber of Bridge, perhaps a game of Monopoly or perhaps a game of 21. While with the 'Swivel nGo' does not allow for the middle seats to fold in the floor, this model still allows for that added storage ....under the seats. With safety reflected in five star recognized protection with frontal bags and side curtins this is one motor car fit for the road, as there is also available a series of amenities starting with Navigation, U-Connect, (hands free cell phone communication), duel controls for comfort in selecting one's preferred temperature, Park Sense rear warning of an impact to the rear, or selected DVD players for individual choice. Also available beyond the rear end and power doors is Sirius Radio with multiple stations of a great variety along with three kids channels of Sirius satellite television.
The Limited floats along like a chauffeured livery vehicle aided by its long wheel base and its soft leather and suede seats offering an executive-grade experience. The level of quiet refinement achieved in this minivan is heretofore unheard of in any Chrysler product as is the quality of the interior materials. And oh the ride! The Town & Country feels stable at all reasonable speeds. The 4.0 liter V^ puts out 251 horsepower, and it is a motor worthy of a sports sedan.
